Proud Wife

We went on our first date CHILDLESS. While Grandma and Grandpa watched Maddox (this included a feeding!) The sweet boy doesn't get the whole bottle thing and the cup idea isn't ideal for a whole feeding. Anyway we practiced all week and when it came time, he did it! Maddox took the bottle and let Tyler and I enjoy a wonderful night out.

After another successful year with Pinnacle Security, we got our celebration on. The weekend was filled with races, flag football games, meetings, and a party. We all came together to end the weekend at The Capitol Theater for their annual awards ceremony. 

  Tyler's office was awarded Office of the Year. They sold the most accounts in the company this year. Woo Woo

 It is always fun to look back on the year and to see Tyler get recognized for his hard work.

Home Sweet New York

Oh New York. I've determined that there is just no way to describe how this city makes me feel. This is my happy place. 

Tyler had the opportunity to go to NY for work so of course Maddox and I insisted we tag along. I was so excited to show M the city!

We spent an afternoon in Central Park with our friends. Little missy loved taking care of Maddox and he LOVED her! 

 While out and about we spotted Regis and Kelly filming a TD commercial. You know me and celebs :)

 Another afternoon was spent with my good friend Morgan in SoHo. Maddox wasn't very happy at first (you try breastfeeding in a park. In loud NYC. In 45* weather. ugh) but quickly warmed up and loved on her. It was so fun seeing her. She's the bomb and I miss her!

I dragged her to Rice to Riches with me, how did I never make it when we were there the last 3 years??

 Ok so then the real epic moment of the trip was the hour we spent at my favorite place (debate-ably in the whole world) Maddox fell asleep on my chest and we sat on the bench overlooking the city just taking it all in. It was heaven to me. (Could have been better only had it been 20* warmer and Ty had been there) I love our old hood

 The next day we spent visiting with my loved ones and strolling through art at the MET with Darrin. He wanted to be the first to introduce Maddox to art history. Little M jabbered the whole time we were there, he was quite intrigued I suppose.

After working 70 hours in 5 days, Tyler was able to join us for dinner. All that he enjoyed of the city was this walk through Times Square to the restaurant. Poor guy. We missed him tons and wished he could have played with us but Maddox and I LOVED our trip!!

Five Months Old

LOVES

No matter what you're doing, if you see us brushing our teeth you drop everything and stare.

It must be true love because you love my singing. It calms and soothes you and that makes me feel good. 

You refuse the bottle. You just play with it and make a mess but no eating. You always grab for our glasses so we gave it a try...you can drink breast-milk from a cup. Whaat?

We love when we go into your room in the morning to check on you and find you happy and playing with your bedding. When were you going to let us know you were awake?! 

Now that we're finally in one place, you sleep in your crib (gone are the pack n' play days!) and oh how you love it. You sleep so much better!! 

We get the best giggles when Dad tickles your knees

When you are using your outside voice and I change to a whisper, you totally whisper back. It's the cutest!

Your first NYC experience!! You rocked it. We conquered that city together! It wasn't the most convenient place for breastfeeding but you were such a trooper. The New Yorkers loved you!

HATES

You got your first goose egg. Spinning round and round in your bouncy chair you bumped into the door frame. :( It looked worse than you seemed to feel it.

Dad and I spent a lovely night at the temple only to come back finding you had cried for Grandma the ENTIRE time! Not sure what that was about, did we forget to tell you we'd be back??

Oh spit up. Month 4 was the month of some major spit up. Rumor has it that is supposed to be the peak and we are hoping it slows down from here.

We sure love you Maddox!!
